10 Men’s Fashion tips: For the summer!

In the summer looking sharp becomes more of a challenge with the intense heat. Luckily we’ve got your back. Looking good, and staying cool can come together.  Here are 15 easy ways to upgrade your summer wardrobe to the next level.

1. Show some Ankle!

Unless you’re in a professional setting, during the summer, socks are strictly optional. Sneakers, loafers,  even derbies look GREAT with a little bit of ankle showing

2. A Windbreaker is The Only Extra Layer you need!

Most of the time during spring and summer your won’t need a jacket or coat. But for the rare occasions that you do, a light windbreaker is the move. Whether you’re at the beach or on a hiking trip, often times evenings get chilly.

3. Wear the right Shades !

You’ve got to protect your eyes from the sun anyway, so why not protect them with a pair of sunglasses that makes you look like a young John Travolta? The Right pair of shades will make you look 75% cooler AT LEAST.

4. A Hat Sometimes Works Better Than Sunscreen!

If you’re hanging out in the backyard, at the beach, or going on a hike on a sunny day, a good hat will keep the sun rays from burning your face.  Not to mention it looks better than the white stuff on your face.

5. Wear Crazy swimsuits!

It’s not often that you get to wear bold prints, and vibrant colors. Unless you’re into that kind of thing, or you’re Elton John. Regardless, its summer time and you should stand out at the beach, or poolside. Go crazy with colors and patterns on your swim trunks.

6. Don’t wear your fancy dress watch!

Unless you’re attending a wedding this summer, there’s no need to put on that dress watch you own! A casual watch will look much better with a summer outfit. Not to mention, watching a nice watch sink to the bottom of the ocean at the beach is no fun.

7. Wear a Lightweight Blazer!

If you find yourself needing to dress formally this summer, go with a light linen blazer rather than a wool, or corduroy suit jacket. Not only will this save from dying of heat exhaustion (a bit extreme I know), but you’ll look and feel great.

8. Stop Wearing Flip-Flops Everywhere!

It’s really tempting to make flip-flops your go to shoes this summer. However, and I can not stress this enough, flip-flops belong at the beach and the pool. That’s pretty much it. Instead go with a Boat Shoe, Low top Sneaker, Desert Boot, or even Leather sandals. There a plenty of better options.

9. Get a Haircut!

How you wear your hair during the summer is arguably the most important time of the year to care. Having a sharp haircut makes you stand out from the rest of the swim trunk wearin dudes at the beach. It’s one of the first things people notice.

10. Stick To The Classics!

Make the switch from graphic tees, to basic solid ones. Don’t worry, it’s summer you can be bold and stand out in other ways. Just, save the graphic tees for the kids. Classic White, Navy, and Grey tees are perfect for summer. You can go with a black tee as well, just balance it out with some lighter shorts or chinos so you’re not too hot.
